Marina Louw Art
Marina, in conversation about her art:
"Colour has always been abstract to
me.........until I've seen how 5,6,and 7 year olds communicate
through the use of colour in painting - spontaneous, energetic and
without inhibitions. Colour lives, gives life and brings life
with it from the first rays of sun at dawn every morning until it
disappears at night time with the sun. Colour plays with my
emotions. Colour allows me to say what I want to say, in the way I
want to say it, with or without using words. Colour is my winter warmth and
summer shade. My senses are aroused by colour. Each work or art I
produce is a melody of colour in the symphony of life's vivid
shades, shadows and highlights. I aim at bringing all of those
to you and hope that you can experience, through looking at my
works, some of the passion I felt when creating."
(Marina's paintings are mixed media, but mainly acrylic paints on
canvas stretched over a wooden frame.)
